I walked around today looking for a good photo. My neighbors have this great patch of “Cat Tails” on the edge of their portion of the lake. I always liked these because they used to grow in our yard back in NY, until they removed. This photo was taken with the new lens, again trying to use it more and more to get used to its wait and the lack of OS. For this image, I only increased the clarity level a tad and cropped out a small section of the right. I didn’t want the main subject to be in the center of the shot, because that is kind of boring. I like how all of the stalks form these cage-like lines around the main Cat Tail. I do like the quality of the lens, at least from what I can see in this picture. The detail is pretty great. I’m sure if I was a bit closer, it would pick up even more, but for being about 40 feet away, this wasn’t a bad shot.
I have a few more shots coming with the new lens, again just testing it out as much as possible.
Until tomorrow.

Outstanding contrast!
Thanks, Pablo. Mother Earth did a good job with her browns and greens, heh.
Great shot!
Thank you, Angeline.
