50@50 Day 22: Triple Foam Latte

Today we have a special treat, a triple image fun time surprise. You are gonna be foaming at the mouths for these. These should wet your appetite. They will…ok, enough of that. Enjoy today’s photos.

I was going to go to Union Point Park to read my new book for a while, but it was blocked because of an event going on this weekend. I still wanted to be near the water, so I made my way down the river a little bit and found a bench in a pretty secluded area. While it turned out to be any thing but secluded, I did manage to happen upon a great spot for a few photos. The bench I was reading at was located right at a corner of the retaining wall of the river. This is just like the image a few weeks ago when I was grabbing the shot of the wave crashing back over in Union Point. There was a big difference though; this water was foaming something fierce. The foam was so dense, it was creating a dirt like crust on the sidewalk. It was both disturbing and cool to see.

I grabbed a few photos and brought them home for post. These were the three I liked the most. I didn’t want to just pick one, because they all have little unique things about them. The top photo we have a big splash in the background. I like that it was out of focus, as I really wanted the metal post to be in focus in all of the shots.

This next image you can see more of the foam I am talking about. This was taking up a good 4 foot by 4 foot blog in the water below. It started to look like bread pudding or potatoes, as the young kids walking around gawking at it noted. I just like how this small section of real estate shows how turbulent the water was today.

As I was taking more photos the sun finally started to shine a bit more, and with the shine came a fresh blast of water. This image has significantly less foam in it and the water seems more clear. I also liked how all of the bars formed a weird cross.

All and all the photos I captured today fit the mini 50 day challenge and also were completely unexpected. I guess I will have to venture to other areas to pretend I’m reading (I just can’t seem to NOT want to know what is going on around me).

Until tomorrow.
