The other day when I was walking through the beach I thought of getting a shot of the ground. I found this one spot and noticed it had a little bit of action going on. It wasn’t as exciting as the dead jellyfish, but it did have a few different variables. There are some pretty chaotic lines in this image, some strong and others look pretty feeble. There are some tiny shells with different shapes and textures and then there are a few different colors.
I played around with the contrast and the clarity values in Lightroom for this image. I remember watching a clip of someone who took a normal picture of the ground. There was nothing really exciting about it, but when he changed these values it brought some new life to it. Not sure if I got the same effect here. Let me know what you think. I am not going to put the original image up because it would be too easy to see the difference. Just look at the image and let me know if it says anything, or if it’s a tad boring. This is all practice, so you won’t hurt my feelings.
Until tomorrow.

Nice – it looks like abstract art
Thanks, Sheila.
I like the random pattern of the twigs with the shells interspersed. Clarity is great! And it does look like abstract art.
Man, with these abstract art comments I should print these and put a price tag on them! haha. Thanks for the comments, Angeline.
